Our prototype Polaris kit won every race it entered 8 years ago and was extremely durable as well. The stock 's only have a spring for the rear suspension with no damping control and as a result have a very bouncy, pogo stick like ride. Now your little play rider can have a safer more comfortable ride and your Jr. SnowCross racer will be faster around the track with increased rider confidence. Try it today because quite simply put The Polaris has the most travel of the Minis at 7", however, it also has the most bounce.
Many dads actually limit the suspension travel down for their little racers with a shorter limiter strap. This is not a good solution! The little Z does not have a whole lot of suspension yet surprisingly still wins a lot of races.
This is likely due to the fact that it sits low and is a good deal stiffer in the rear than the others as they have the suspension pulled down tight with the limiter strap. It is well controlled with an oil shock dampened ride for a big performance gain on the trail or track. Note: Please select the correct model below. The Mini-Z kit is for the older Mini-Z without front shocks. Like it's bigger brothers, the Artic Cat has a really awesome front suspension system.
The rear spring has a factory three way preload adjuster so you can make the suspension stiffer. Unfortunately without a shock absorber it just bounces even more if you do. With SHOCKIT's well damped oil shock combined with the adjustable spring pre-load you will see a big performance gain that just can't be beat.
Note: Does not fit very early CAT models with the leaf spring rear suspension. At last there is an affordable rear skid wheel kit for your snowmobile. These wheels will greatly reduce the drag on the drive track improving both acceleration and top speed performance. Also are a must have kit for low snow conditions or grass running conditions. Polaris and Ski-Doo require drilling in the skid.If your son or daughter is getting bigger and you feel the need for more speed and power, this is the way to go.
The GX engine will work with your stock clutch or our race clutch. The is a spec engine with a sealed crankcase, spec exhaust pipe and rpm rev-limiter.
This not only prevents the winner-by-virtue-of-dollars-spent scenario, it also eliminates the prospect of cheating the engine rules.Polaris 120 på vatten
Just as important, the upshot of this level playing field is that the cost to go mod-class racing just went down by several Ben Franklins.
Furthermore, Briggs offers four different length carburetor slide options shown above for thewith a corresponding increase in performance with each. Each slide is also color-coded for easy tech. Nope, Champ remains for those who like to seriously dent their wallet.
So what is it? Dave needs to get an "at a boy" award for helping promote racing with the little league racers and bringing new faces to the sport! Wish he would have had something like this 10 years ago when my kid oval ice raced.
And then the racing associations say they want to keep racing inexpensive, so they can get more competitors. The race sleds that you are refering to were probably the Champ sleds and yes, some were in that price range or more. Any sled that was a dominate one and for sale at the end of the season always brought big bucks. Follow ArcticInsider. Enter the characters above: all lowercase, no spaces.Company Info. Contact Us.

Our Package deals get you the parts you need at a Discount. Is your little rider bored with that slow 7mph mini sled? There are two major problems with the stock sleds.
One is the motor only turns about 3,rpm before the stock governor kills the party. The other problem is with the stock gear ratio and the heavy 40 size chain coupled with a 10t stock front sprocket.
Governor Spring -Most people know that the stock spring is too weak. And a lot of people think it's okay to bypass the governor with a zip tie or piece of wire. The problem with doing that is if the motor is then run at a constant too-high rpm with no relief on the governor, that little plastic governor gear down in the engine is eventually going to break, scattering parts and doing extensive damage.
The correct way to do it is to put a proper tension spring which will allow a safe 5,rpm and then open to relieve the governor and also keep the piston from hitting the valves as well. With the smaller 35 pitch chain we have found that there is far less less rolling resistance than a stock 40 chain and sprockets have.
This is because the rollers are smaller and the sprockets have more teeth on them. This reduced resistance results in better performance along with reduced chain wear and noise. This easy to install kit will set you up right. Includes a new 35 pitch clutch drum to swap out with your stock drum on your OEM clutch. The clutch engagement rpm will be the same as stock, but the new revised taller gear ratio will deliver several more mph than stock on top end.
Try it today and more than double the stock 7mph speed of that little sled! Typical speeds achieved are mph depending on snow conditions and rider weight. Polaris models are all exactly the same, all years. Mini-Z, Honda GX engines are all the same, all years. The Cats are all the same fromSuzuki engine. While similar to the Economy Speed Package it adds increased Horsepower with the carb mods and tune-ability which is necessary when racing or if you just like to tinker.
Racing Clutch -High Performance unit with a higher engagement rpm for better take-offs. Excellent as a replacement for a worn out stock clutch as well as it does for racing applications. This clutch is very durable as well. Power-UP Intake Kit -include a new heavier governor spring with the correct tension, a machined aluminum velocity stack for maximum airflow and a really slick adjustable carb jet which allows you to dial the jetting in easily with just a turn of a knob.
The new power increase will also allow the little sled to pull the taller gearing for even more speed. Now that the little machine is going faster it's a good idea to get it to handle better, too. Includes everything you need to go racing or just have a blast ripping around on the trails and fields.
Rev Models with the front shocks use a different model Shockit but everything else is the same. Our gear kits include 40" of 35 chain which must be cut to the correct length for your machine and sprocket combination. While there are several ways to do this including grinding off one of the pins, This 35 Chain Breaker uses a pin press to "break" chain to the desired length. Also has a flat press used to assemble chain without a master link. This way a chain can easily be made longer if desired for larger sprockets.
A quality addition to any tool box! Our Economy Speed kit fixes both!Guys, I ride Doo's but found a deal on a Polaris for my son that I couold not resist. Only one problem Lots of great posts here on mini-doos, does anyone know of another site that covers polaris mini's???
Or does anyone know where I can get good info on tweeking a polaris? Any help would be appreciated. Polaris XCR Mods. Like This Unlike mxzdoo2 16 Dec you can pretty much do anything to the polaris as you can to the mini. I would put on a track wheel kit, a new clutch, chain, Governor Bypass Kit and change the gearing to a 34 tooth. That will get you to about 16 mph.
The stock chain is really poor and the track will ratchet in most conditions. There is much more you can do if you want. I can help you out if you want I have ours going 25mph with my son 75lbs and 26 mph with my daughter 50lbs on it. I'm going to see about eliminating the gov. I'll try those first. The chain and clutch solutions sound good as well. Thanks again. Like This Unlike 17 Dec My 5yr old has a polarisand the first thing I did was installed a rear wheel kit and a rear shock kit ,On the polaris s, they have 7inches of travel in the rear, My boy looked like a bull rider trying to hold on as he rode across the field.
Thats when I purchased a shock kit, solved that problem and the gov, I use a bread tie and it works fine,Leave the spring on and run the bread tie down the center through the spring and twist the ends together,Keeps the spring from stretching. I plan to just replace the rear gear with a 36 tooth gear for this season, My son and I went out riding around the fields today,10 inches of snow and that little walked through it with the stock gear, not alot of speed but alot of low end,The boy even took on a couple of snow drifts, but he lost to one, rolled his on its side.
POLARIS 120 REAR SHOCK KIT
He had a ball out there, A smile ear to ear, even when he lost it in drift. I noticed its not much of a shock at all. I bypassed the gov. Picked up tha back of the machine to see how it would respond to the change and broke the chain! New chain, and wheel kit on the way. Sources for the rear shock??? But its worth it. Also,go to www recmotor. Recmoter also sell the same shock kit but Midwest is maker of this shock kit. Like This Unlike 20 Dec Forgot to say that the stock polaris has no shock in the rear,Thats just 2 springs one on each side.
